Abstract
	The Image-based NPR technology is about simulating a painter’s drawing techniques with a 2D input image. Artistic techniques covered include cartooning, illustration, colored paper mosaics, and oil paintings. Our technology provides more elaborated simulation of a painter’s technique than other 2D image software currently available. Simulation process is explicitly presented to the user.
